(sallallahü aleyhi ve sellem)’den sürgün ettiğine dair sahih haberler, Ebû Hüreyre, Zeyd b. Halid, Ubade b. Sabit ve başkalarından bize ulaşmıştır. Rasûlüllah (sallallahü aleyhi ve sellem)’in ashabından ilim adamlarının uygulaması bu hadise göre olup, Ebû Bekir, Ömer, Ali, Übey b. Ka’b, Abdullah b. Mes’ud, Ebû Zer ve başkaları bunlardandır. Pek çok tabiin dönemi fıkıhçılarından da böylece rivâyet edilmiştir. es Sevri, Mâlik b. Enes, Abdullah b. Mübarek, Şafii, Ahmed ve İshak’ta bu görüşü benimseyenler arasındadır
