That mercy is a means of the King of Majesty, so exalted that the stars and the angels serve in His army with perfect order and obedience. And that Exalted Being and that Eternal and Everlasting King have absolute self-sufficiency. He is absolutely self-sufficient, needing nothing from the universe or the created in any way. He is the Self-Sufficient, the One who does not require anything. And the entire universe is under His command and governance, in complete obedience, and in awe and majesty before His Majesty.
Indeed, mercy brings you, O human, before the presence of that Self-Sufficient, the King of Eternity, makes you a friend to Him, makes you an interlocutor with Him, and gives you the position of a beloved servant.
